I feel I have met the governments recommendations for a healthy meal. I eat fruits and vegetables thoughout the day and then eat a lot of proteins at dinner. Snacking on fruits and veggies are better than picking up a slice of pizza or fast food.

My menu has a total of 1589 calories compared to the 2000 calorie recommended for my age group. I enjoy eating fruits over other snack. I would not change a thing with my menu as it is under the 2000 calorie menu.

Using the Nutrition Facts label is an excellent way for a person to stay on track if they are diabetic or have choleteral issues. I read labels due to the fact that I have grandchildren who are allergic to peanuts and soy. Reading Labels make it earier for a person to stay on track with their health.

My menu contained a lot of the items I like and eat on a every day situation. Fruits and Vegetables are an easy item to eat on the go. I have a busy schedule so I would have to say that my menu does fall inline to what I like and eat.

Fruits proved more than 30% of my nutritional intake throughout the day. To grab a apple or banana is simply and quick for the busy person. They also provide energy.

In looking at the fast food or Prepared foods was high in sodium and saturated fats. I have been trying to stay away from fast food as it can cause high blood pressure, pita dema or high cholesterol. All of these things are caused due to the fact of High sodium content. They are also high in saturated fat.

In looking at my menu I discovered a high amount of fruits with a second highest in vegetables. I enjoy eatting these kinds of food when I am on the good. I have a very busy life. I make my dinner my primary meal for the day.
